About this Simulation

This sound spectrum analyzer allows learners to visualize sound as a spectrum of frequencies in real-time. Students can input audio signals and observe how the analyzer breaks down complex sounds into individual frequency components, displaying amplitude, decibel levels, and peak frequencies using FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) analysis.

Learning objectives: Understand how sound frequencies are represented and measured in the frequency domain | Interpret FFT data, decibel scales, and frequency spectrum displays | Explore the relationship between time-domain audio signals and their frequency-domain representations
