About this Simulation

This interactive simulation challenges learners to identify whether common household appliances operate on AC (alternating current) or DC (direct current). By sorting appliances and receiving instant feedback, students develop understanding of how different electrical power sources are used in everyday devices and circuits.

Learning objectives: Distinguish between AC and DC power sources and their applications | Identify which household appliances use alternating versus direct current | Understand the relationship between power supply type and appliance functionality
