About this Simulation

This interactive simulation models blackbody radiation and how objects emit electromagnetic radiation across different wavelengths based on temperature. Students can adjust temperature variables (T1, T2) and observe real-time changes to the radiation spectrum, exploring the relationship between thermal energy and photon emission.

Learning objectives: Understand how temperature affects the intensity and wavelength distribution of emitted radiation | Visualise Planck's blackbody radiation law and Wien's displacement law in action | Investigate why hotter objects emit radiation at shorter wavelengths
