About this Simulation

This simulation models the physics of X-ray production and imaging, allowing learners to investigate how X-rays are generated through quantum interactions and how they interact with matter. Students can manipulate key variables including tube voltage, radiation intensity, and material properties to observe real-time effects on image formation and quality.

Learning objectives: Understand the quantum mechanisms of X-ray generation and photoelectric interactions | Analyse how imaging parameters affect resolution, contrast, and radiation dose | Apply quantum physics principles to explain medical and industrial imaging techniques
