About this Simulation

This simulation enables students to explore numerical methods for finding roots of equations through iterative processes. Learners can visualise how different iteration techniques converge toward solutions, observe the role of initial guesses, and investigate convergence rates and conditions for success.

Learning objectives: Understand how iterative algorithms approximate roots of equations | Analyse convergence behaviour and the impact of initial conditions on solution paths | Apply numerical methods to solve equations that may lack algebraic solutions
