Math Battle: Add or Multiply?

About the Game

Math Battle: Add or Multiply? is a fun and interactive game designed for students to practice arithmetic while engaging in friendly competition. Players use a set of numbers and choose between addition (+) and multiplication (*) operators to build an arithmetic expression.

Instructions

  1. Select a difficulty level to determine the range of numbers used in the game.
  2. The game board displays a series of numbers with drop-down boxes between them for selecting an operator.
  3. Players take turns choosing an operator from the drop-down menu.
  4. After all operators are selected, click the Compute button to evaluate the expression.
  5. The result is calculated following the order of operations (multiplication before addition): if the final result is odd, Player 1 wins; if it is even, Player 2 wins.

Example

For instance, if the difficulty level is set to "Level 1 (1-6)" and the numbers are 2, 3, 4, and:

The expression becomes 2 + 3 * 4. According to the order of operations, the multiplication is performed first (3 * 4 = 12) and then added to 2, resulting in a final score of 14. Since 14 is even, Player 2 wins.
