Elevator Forces Lab Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 May 2026
Elevator Forces Lab is an educational physics app by Open Source Physics at Singapore / iwant2study.org. It helps learners investigate lift acceleration, normal force, apparent weight, and weighing-scale readings.
Information the App Uses
The app may use your device motion or accelerometer readings when you choose to start the phone sensor activity. These readings are used in the app to show the live physics model. The app does not use these sensor readings to identify you.
Analytics
The app and related web page may use Google Analytics to understand basic usage, such as page or app activity and device/browser information. This helps improve the learning experience and fix issues. Google Analytics may process data according to Google's privacy policies.
Learning Progress and xAPI
The app can record answers, scores, activity events, and learning progress locally in the browser storage used by the app. When the activity is launched from an xAPI-compatible learning platform, such as a school learning system that supplies xAPI launch settings, those learning records may be sent to that platform so teachers can review learning evidence. If the app is used normally without such a platform launch, this xAPI transfer is not configured.
Files and Downloads
The app includes educational handouts, lesson plans, and answer keys. Opening or downloading these files does not require an account in the app.
Children and Students
The app is intended for classroom and self-study physics learning. Teachers, parents, and schools should supervise use according to their local policies, especially when learners are using school learning platforms.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Data may be processed by service providers used for analytics or by a school learning platform when the app is launched with that platform's xAPI settings.
