About this Simulation

This 2D Newton's Cradle simulation models realistic collisions between identical pendulum balls, allowing learners to observe momentum transfer and energy conservation in action. By adjusting swing angles and observing ball motion, students explore how collisions propagate through the system and why only the opposite ball swings out.

Learning objectives: Understand momentum conservation in elastic collisions | Investigate how kinetic energy transfers between objects | Analyse the relationship between initial conditions and collision outcomes
