About this Simulation

This interactive simulation enables students to model and compare the rotational behaviour of solid spheres and thin spherical shells. By adjusting initial velocities, viewing angles, and physical parameters, learners can observe how mass distribution affects moment of inertia and rotational motion in real time.

Learning objectives: Understand how moment of inertia differs between solid and hollow spheres | Analyse the relationship between angular velocity and rotational kinetic energy | Apply rotational dynamics principles to predict object behaviour
