About this Simulation

This interactive simulator models how pressure differences create buoyancy forces and determine whether objects float or sink. Learners can manipulate object size, density, and fluid properties while observing real-time pressure visualizations around submerged objects to understand the physical principles governing buoyancy.

Learning objectives: Understand how pressure varies with depth and creates net buoyant forces | Predict floating or sinking behavior by comparing object density to fluid density | Visualize and explain the relationship between pressure distribution and buoyancy
