About this Simulation

This interactive simulation lets learners explore area and perimeter by moving and arranging squares on a grid. Students can manipulate shapes, observe how measurements change, and discover the relationship between area and perimeter through direct experimentation and visual feedback.

Learning objectives: Understand the difference between area and perimeter through hands-on exploration | Develop spatial reasoning by arranging squares and predicting measurement changes | Apply measurement concepts to real-world problem-solving scenarios
