About this Simulation

This gimbal model simulation allows learners to explore three-dimensional rotational motion and coordinate transformations. By manipulating gimbal rings interactively, students can observe how objects rotate about multiple axes simultaneously and understand the relationship between Euler angles and spatial orientation in real-time.

Learning objectives: Understand how gimbal systems represent 3D rotations and Euler angles | Visualise the effects of sequential rotations around different axes | Explore gimbal lock and limitations in rotational representation systems
