About this Simulation

This interactive simulation challenges learners to develop strategies for moving a knight across a chessboard while landing exclusively on starred squares. Students explore valid knight movements, spatial reasoning, and tactical planning to maximise the number of moves before running out of valid star-landing options.

Learning objectives: Understand and apply the L-shaped movement pattern of chess knights | Develop strategic planning and problem-solving skills through constraint-based gameplay | Explore combinatorial possibilities and optimisation in mathematical puzzles
