About this Simulation

Square Town is a collaborative 2-player mathematics game where players explore number composition and decomposition. The first player sets a target number of squares, while the second player uses split and merge operations to construct exactly that number. This interactive simulation develops visual understanding of how numbers can be broken apart and recombined.

Learning objectives: Understand number composition and decomposition through visual representation | Develop strategic thinking by combining split and merge operations | Strengthen number sense and part-whole relationships
